Love!

Are you a chiropractor person? I totally am! I'm not talking the crack your neck kind, I'm talking the machine manipulation kind. I've been a patient at Brimhall Wellness Center for over 6 years. At times I go more often than others, depending what is going on.

Well I always have this spot in my low back (S2 to be exact) that is really good at holding in aching pain. It comes and goes yet is never welcome. Anyhow today I did 'decompression' again for my lower back. If you have never had it, I HIGHLY recommend it!
You lay on the table, they strap you under your chest and around your hips. There's a traction cord as shown ha ha and it pulls your hips down in like 3o second intervals and then releases it for 10 (or whatever settings they put it on). At first I was nervous but let me tell you I give it 5 stars! I can't believe the pressure relief that I get every time I use it!

So basically what I'm saying - GO DO IT!

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2011! Hoping everyone had a save night last night welcoming in the new year.

For me, I spent it with great friend/neighbors who were snuggled up in a "Skanket" (I believe it was called) you know, a blanket with sleeves. I'm pretty sure they were trying to 'one up' the Snuggie, which is a terrible name for a blanket by the way.

No this isn't a Slanket review, it is a New Year's Review. Now honestly, what is the big deal? I mean it's great to welcome in the new year, changes, refresh, off with the old on with the new - however is it really necessary for the hu-bub surrounding it. How many millions of dollars were spent in each big city across our great country and even the world on this event? Maybe this is the "OLD" in me coming out but I KNOW there are much more important things than making a ball, out of Waterford crystal to 'drop' at Midnight.

Anyhow we had a great time eating In n Out at 10:PM (ew!?), making fun of each other, chatting and catching up with Christmas Vacay stories - and trying to wake their kids up to watch the event...the ball drop! We yelled HAPPY NEW YEAR and watched some of the performers on TV and decided that parties were fun but it sure was nice to walk right back across the street to go to bed at 12:15! :)

Happy New Year, may it be Merry, Prosperous and your personal best!

Allegiant Air

Most podunk small airports/airlines bite. C'mon you know it's true. In fact the first time I flew this airline I thought just that - aww cute little rinky dink airline that kinda sucks.

However, I recently took a trip over the holidays on the same airline, and although there are things that I find ridiculous about them:
* You have to to check in luggage
* They let pets come as carry on's - what the?
* You have to pay for a seat assignment
* You have to pay for onboard snacks
* If you aren't there 45 minutes early you may loose your seat

Lame, I know. But given the price - $24 for a one way ticket (once you take off the additional fees for above mentioned items) not bad, stop at Walgreens for some snacks on the way and buy a water after security and there you go - a cheap trip. Over all I'd give them a 6, n ot bad - they're giving Southwest a run for their money. Oh and that 'rinky dink' airport - super cute and all sorts of new! So over all, not bad fellas, not bad!

Two Hippies!!!

If this was not one of my fist blogs I would be an Idiot… whew – so glad I dodged that bullet!

This is one of the greatest spots in Arizona to feed your face! The food is fresh, local or organic – instant props! And THE BEST FISH TACO EVER! The atmosphere is so fun! Depending on which one you go to some may seem more or less family friendly. I defiantly recommend any beach house! You have several styles to choose from depending on what you are in the mood for – Burgers, Breakfast, Pizza – and of course the Beach House like I mentioned. I hear plans of a coffee shop and stir fry to make it to the valley soon as well.

The food is delicious and good for you! The prices rock, the atmosphere rounds out the experience to be well worth a short drive for a fun adventure. If you make it in, talk to the owners tell them about your experience they love to chat!

Find Them in Phoenix!

Thank You!

Left To Tell

I have had this book come up several times for me again lately. Though it has been in circulation since 2006, it is so powerful, impacting and life changing (if you allow it), that I wanted to bring it up here.
Wayne Dyer gives the Forward (bonus).

If you want to read something to enlighten your mind, open your heart, increase your knowledge of world affairs, better understand forgiveness, and look into yourself… I can not give a higher “review”.
I saw that there are ‘wristbands’ for it now, all donations to benefit the children of Africa.

Please visit www.LeftToTell.com for more about Immaculée and her AMAZING story!

Ohhhhh Baby, now were talking.

Vibram Five Fingers

Boom! Love, Love, LOVE them! Who doesn’t want to feel supported while having the next best thing to being bare-foot? They are wonderful! The first day out of the box I took them on a quick 2 mile run. PERFECT. I felt like Forrest Gump, I definitely could have kept going. They do make your calf work harder then it’s used to so you have to ‘work into them’. And like any other shoe they are going to wear on your foot uniquely – it’s one of the next best things you can do for yourself, your posture, your on foot stamina.
Ya- the color options are limited. Every day is not a fashion show. Quit crying, get over it.
